Book reviews - Looking For Alaska by John Green

 

I've decided i would like to do a a series of posts. That would all be book reviews. As i LOVE  and am obsessed books and reading and all that goes with that , Seriously i'ts an illness but one that i enjoy immensely. So i thought what better to start of with than a book written by none other than John Green. As I've just finished this book and enjoyed it a lot i have picked Looking For Alaska as the first one.This book has definitely made it on the list as one of my favorite books of ALL TIME.

Looking for Alaska is a book about a boy named Miles Halter or 'Pudge' as his friends call him and his group of friends Chip ' the Colonel ' Martin, Alaska Young, Lara Buterskaya And Takumi Hikohito. Who are at 'Culver Creek Prepatory High School' in Alabama and are in their junior year. The book follows them as they play pranks on teachers and the Weekday Warriors (The horrible posh and rich kids that attend their school). Drink, smoke, have relationships and do normal (i think) teenage things. Until a very unexpected twist in the story leaves them lost and needing to discover just what really has happened. 

The book is very good, it had a lot of interesting characters and VERY unexpected plot twists which is probably why i read the whole thing with in the space of 14 hrs. I bought it for £2.99 on the Amazon Kindle book store but i would gladly have paid the normal price which is £7.99 but on the normal Amazon Store is currently £5.59 (Just in-case you were wondering).

If you are looking for a interesting, exciting and emotional page turner. I would definitely recommend it to you.
